JTOPIA global

A cup of unhurried lines, and inside the glaze, a night sky. Obsidian-like flecks are scattered through a black with no visible floor, and a pale kiln-flow drifts across the surface like a comet. Each firing crystallises differently, so no two cups hold quite the same sky.

Highly Popular Coffee Cup
This is the coffee cup from the renowned Galaxy series, representing JTOPIA. It features a depiction of countless nebulae brilliantly shining in the vast cosmos, capturing the profound beauty of the boundless void, symbolizing endless romance among the stars.

Recipient of the Nitten Tokusen Award
At the pinnacle of Japanese art exhibitions lies the Nitten, the largest art exhibition in Japan. True to its name, this coffee cup from JTOPIA is a special limited edition piece commemorating the artist Shinemon's receipt of the prestigious Nitten Tokusen (Special Selection) award. The Galaxy glaze is a unique technique developed by Shinemon, inspired by the Yohen Oil Spot Tenmoku that was highly prized by warlords like Nobunaga and Hideyoshi. It is a testament to Shinemon's innovative ceramic craftsmanship.

Exceptional Ease of Use
Crafted from porcelain, this coffee cup is exceptionally durable. It requires no special maintenance and is safe for use in dishwashers and microwaves. The saucer is a versatile dish that can be used for various purposes, from serving tea snacks to cakes, adding an elegant touch to your table.

Glaze Covers Up to the Base
The glaze extends up to the base of the cup, ensuring that it looks beautiful from any angle. The meticulously polished base, the artist's signature, and every detail reflect the artist's dedication to their craft.

A Unique Gift
Due to variations in the formation of patterns and crystals during the firing process, each piece is truly one-of-a-kind. This coffee cup comes in an elegant paulownia box with an engraved name, making it suitable for various gift occasions, including retirement and milestone celebrations.
