Shinemon Kiln Ochoko Sake Cup Saiun Honkinsai - Arita Ware

Sale price¥18,700
Exquisite Representation of 'Saiun' in Every Detail

Utilizing a unique technique by Master Mauemon, this piece evolves the method that produces a ruby-colored hue called 'tansha' further. Against a deeply radiant ruby background, a subtle gradient from white to light blue-purple gradually intertwines, creating the impression of colorful clouds rising from the bottom. It splendidly captures the natural phenomenon of 'saiun' (clouds being dyed in various colors like a rainbow when passing near the sun).

Radiance of Genuine Gold Leaf

This piece employs the technique of decorating the 'rim part (the part where the mouth touches)' known as 'kinkabari' with genuine gold leaf. The unique design, framed by dazzling gold, showcases the captivating scenery of the fortunate madder cloud, making it an unparalleled and beautiful work of art.

A Sake Vessel to Share a Lifetime

Made from the finest natural pottery stone from Amakusa, Kyushu, the Arita ware guinomi (sake cup) undergoes firing at an ultra-high temperature of 1300 degrees. It has a silky touch like silk, is rigid with low water absorption, making it easy to clean. It lacks the earthy odor typical of ceramics, allowing you to fully savor the aroma of your beverage. Outstanding in heat retention and cooling, it is suitable for both display and practical use.

A One-of-a-Kind Gift

Accompanied by an elegant paulownia box, this guinomi is a highly recommended luxury gift from JTOPIA, especially for those who appreciate fine spirits or as a special present for cherished family, mentors, friends, or superiors. Ideal for both appreciation and as a companion for evening drinks.
