The 15th generation Yokoi Gagyu (Gagyu Kiln) is the sole kiln that upholds the traditional "brushstroke" texture. It was established in 1602. Following the footsteps of Nonomura Ninsei, who is regarded as the founder of Kyoto ceramics, it became widely recognized and was even referred to as "Ninsei of Kyushu."
