Creator Description

Fujii Kinsai has established a unique world of artistic sensibility, making use of modern dyeing techniques, Kinran embroidery, and their distinctive methods of using gold and platinum. With a substantial following of enthusiastic fans across the nation and numerous department stores eager to host their solo exhibitions, Fujii Kinsai is a renowned artist in the world of Arita porcelain.

They studied under prominent figures in various fields, including the Living National Treasures of Arita porcelain, Banji Inoue, Toshio Kawahara, and Shizen Kanetake. At the young age of 18, Fujii Kinsai received the Asahi Shimbun Newspaper Award at the Nagasaki Ceramic Exhibition. They have achieved recognition with 15 awards at prestigious exhibitions such as the Asahi Ceramic Exhibition, Seibu Craft Exhibition, and the Izushi Porcelain Triennale. In their early twenties, they were recommended for membership in the Shinshinkai, a respected association.

By the age of 24, Fujii Kinsai had already held solo exhibitions in renowned department stores like Daimaru and Mitsukoshi across Japan and actively participated in various craft exhibitions, continuing to do so to this day. Furthermore, their works are housed in the collection of the world-renowned British Museum, solidifying their international acclaim.
