Shinemon Kiln Youhen-Galaxy Coffee Mug Pair - Arita Ware
Popular Pair of Galaxy Series Mugs
Representing JTOPIA's best-selling and long-standing favorite, these are the Galaxy Series mugs. They exude a high level of aesthetics and luxury in both form and color. Depicting the countless nebulae shining brilliantly in the vast universe on the surface of the cups, they capture the profound beauty of the boundless cosmos, symbolizing an unending romance with the stars.
Recipient of the Nitten Special Selection Award
At the Nitten, Japan's largest art exhibition, the highest honor, the Nitten Special Selection Award, was bestowed upon Shinuemaru. To commemorate this achievement, JTOPIA offers these special limited edition pieces. The Galaxy glaze is a unique technique born from the development of the coveted Yohen Oil Spot Tenmoku that was highly esteemed by historical figures such as Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi. It's an exceptionally challenging technique where a large portion of the pieces are rejected during each firing in the kiln.
Outstanding Practicality
These pair of Arita porcelain mugs are crafted from high-quality domestic natural clay material. Fired at an ultra-high temperature of 1300 degrees Celsius, they provide a feather-light feel yet exhibit a tough, non-absorbent surface, making them easy to clean as they resist staining. There's no earthy odor typical of pottery, allowing you to fully savor the aroma of your beverages. They are microwave and dishwasher-safe, with excellent heat retention and cooling properties, suitable for various occasions and generations.
A Lifetime Pair of Mugs
The mugs are made from carefully selected Kyushu-produced premium clay material, renowned for its silky-smooth surface and strength that can withstand daily use. Fired at an ultra-high temperature of 1300 degrees Celsius, Arita porcelain is non-absorbent, making cleaning a breeze. Unlike earthenware, it doesn't retain any earthy odors, allowing you to fully enjoy the aroma of your beverages.
One-of-a-Kind Gift
As the patterns and crystals formed during firing vary in each piece, these mugs are truly one-of-a-kind, unique works of art. They come with a high-quality branded paulownia box, making them ideal for a wide range of gift-giving occasions, including retirement and milestone celebrations.
