What Kihaku Glass Is
Kihaku Glass applies kannyu, the leaf-laying technique of Yamanaka lacquerware from Ishikawa Prefecture, scattering gold and silver leaf into a beautiful craft object. Because the leaf is scattered by a special method in the hands of skilled artisans, no two pieces carry the same pattern — the pattern on yours exists nowhere else. Kihaku Glass was born by applying kannyu, handed down across time, to glass full of transparency.
