A Morning-Glory Flat Bowl
A supreme flat tea bowl, in which the traditional morning-glory (asagao) form — a standard at the tea gathering — is finished in artistic colour.

A Matt Finish, Like Lacquerware
Using a matt technique, it is finished in a refined wabi-sabi colour, as though it were lacquerware. The two-colour kiln transformation of black and gold comes out wonderfully, with something sacred about it, and the charm of the piece is a texture one will not tire of, however often it is used at the tea gathering.

A Landscape at Your Lips
Gaze at it daily, and the deep spirituality of the present Shinemon comes through. When you drink tea and your lips touch the rim, that landscape of nature resounds in the heart. Pour in green tea and its brilliance increases, and its charm with it — a masterwork among the finest of the present generation.
