Even in the hands of skilled artisans, a piece takes as long as half a year to complete — a work into which a great deal of time, care and passion has gone.

A Stem Fired at 1,300°C
The stem of the wine glass is made from high-grade pottery stone from Amakusa in Kyushu, and fired at temperatures rising to 1,300°C. Because of that intense heat, finishing a stem that stands straight without warping was extremely difficult, and it took trial and error again and again. This is a wine glass that carries the artisans’ romance of uniting beauty and technique.
