A crimson scorpionfish with its mouth wide open; a deep-blue lionfish, its fins wavering; the scales themselves — look at the precision of the brush. The sea anemone on the seabed, the markings of the flounder, the prawn, the suckers of the octopus: every one is an astonishing touch. The expression of the filefish, and the squid and blue fish swimming far off, are drawn in complete detail. Like looking down into the sea itself, you may lose track of time.
